Richard (Rick) Gann is a graduate of UCLA and California Western School of Law. He has been a member of the State Bar since 1997. While finishing law school and studying for the bar exam, Rick befriended his then-neighbor, Jason McMurtry. Rick and Jason have worked together, with few interruptions, for over 20 years.

Before transitioning to financial services, Rick practiced law for nine years in the fields of real-estate taxation and estate planning. Rick proudly helped numerous clients manage taxes on their real-estate holdings and investments. Rick’s inspiration for helping property owners came from his grandfather, Paul Gann, author of California’s Proposition 13, which lowered property taxes and sparked a nationwide movement of fiscal conservatism.

In 2006, Rick joined Jason at Grubb & Ellis, fka Triple Net Properties. As an attorney and licensed real-estate broker, Rick developed and supervised a retail division of the company, offering 1031-exchange solutions through a network of commercial brokers across the country.

Later, at Steadfast Companies, Rick helped lead a capital markets team that raised over $1.5 billion from individual investors to acquire over 100 apartment communities across the South and Midwest. Rick also helped create a new 1031-exchange program, designed for individual investors seeking to co-invest in REIT-owned properties.

Subsequently, Rick was President of the Stira Alcentra Global Credit Fund, which merged in May 2019 with the Priority Income Fund. Rick has been an active member of both the Institute for Portfolio Alternatives (IPA) and Alternative & Direct Investment Securities Association (ADISA) since 2007.

  • Holly Stewart

    President

    Summit View Advisors

I love talking to people and educating them to take the financial steps that will help them reach their life goals.
During my 20s, I taught speech and theater, and since I’d been a competitive member of my high school debate team, I was a natural for coaching the debate team as a teacher. We even won some championships!
The type of debate we practiced involved gathering your thoughts quickly and presenting them clearly and persuasively. It also involved a lot of research. Both these skills became valuable to me about 10 years later when I became a financial advisor.
But before that, in my fourth year as a teacher, I came into some money. I met a financial advisor who offered to help me. Without going into the gory details, let’s just say that he ill-advised me about my money and I lost 15% of it.
So, when I became a financial planner, I already knew some of the things NOT to do, particularly when advising young people.
Today, my mission is to eliminate the “intimidation factor” around money and investments. Using gobbledygook “jargon” with people about THEIR money just adds to their feeling that they don’t know what they’re doing.
What lights me up about the work I do? Helping someone change their quality of life.
Sometimes it’s seeing someone have the confidence to leave a soul-sucking job because they know they have a financial plan in place that will sustain them.
Other times, it’s seeing someone who desperately wanted to retire finally be able to make that move, when just a few years back they didn’t see how they would ever be able to stop working.
People have told me they never understood investments until they met me. I guess that comes from my ability to teach, and to find the right way to explain the complexities of investing and make them understandable to anyone.
If you’re someone who is looking to plan for retirement, and if investments are confusing to you (but maybe you’ve been afraid to admit it), we should talk.
My aim is to give you control over your financial life by educating and informing you.

  • Kyla McMoran

    Financial Advisor

    Summit View Advisors

Kyla believes that financial planning should feel empowering—not intimidating—and she brings warmth, clarity, and a touch of fun to every client conversation. She now works alongside Holly to serve clients in the accumulation phase of life—those who are building wealth, balancing family and career, and laying the foundation for a secure future. This also allows Holly to focus her energy on accredited investors (people who meet specific income or asset thresholds and qualify for access to exclusive investment opportunities).

Kyla’s path to becoming a financial advisor was shaped by a deep love for her community, a drive to empower others, and (as she says with a laugh) “a little push from my dad and a global pandemic.” Before joining the financial world, she spent over a decade as Vice President of Communications for the Norman Chamber of Commerce, followed by meaningful work as the Director of Development at the Women’s Resource Center. There, she supported survivors of domestic and sexual violence—experiences that ignited her passion for financial literacy and helping people feel safe and in control of their futures.

Kyla brings a dynamic mix of creativity, communication skills, and heart to her role. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Oklahoma and earned the prestigious Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) designation in 2020—Toastmasters International’s highest honor.

At home, Kyla is married to her best friend Jason, who owns both a property management company and a landscape supply delivery business. Together, they’re raising two awesome boys, Owen and Luke.
